Letter of Employment Experience

One of the documents used during the hiring process by Austrian companies, and also during the visa application, is the work experience letter.

It is common to confuse the letter of proof of experience with the letter of recommendation, so be careful. While the letter of recommendation is generally extensive and detailed, the letter of proof serves only the purpose of proving that you worked at the company and the activities of your position.

Remember that it must be direct and succinct, containing the following information:

  • Employer details: full name of your employer, as well as company information.
  • Your details: your full name, CPF and passport, if possible.
  • Functions performed: The letter must clearly indicate the job function in which the individual was employed, in a clear and brief manner.
  • Period worked: the document must indicate the start and end date of the company's activities, as proof of the duration you were employed
  • Letter issuance date: The letter must also include the date of issuance.
  • Signature and stamp: ideally, the document should be written and delivered on the company's letterhead, but if this is not possible, it should include the company's details with a stamp and signature.

Execution data, such as responsibilities or recommendations/details such as relationships, for this purpose do not enter into credit, and should be avoided so as not to disregard the document, after all, these would only be presented for the purpose of rewarding the candidate.

If you still have questions, use the template below. It is important to remember that the final letter must be sent in English or German, as this can be used in the visa process.
