How to apply for a residence card for your spouse
To request your spouse's residence card, they must be married or have a recognized stable union with a European citizen. The application must be submitted within a maximum of four months after arriving in Austria, but we recommend that you start the process as soon as possible .
The card must be requested in person from the local immigration authority, which could be the Bezirkshauptmannschaft , Magistrat or MA35 , if you are in Vienna.
